Success Story
A multinational pharmaceutical company connected its international offices through an extensive MPLS network, reliable but characterized at very high costs and limited operational flexibility. WhySecurity has redesigned the entire infrastructure, transforming it into a secure and centrally governed international extranet, capable of connecting 30 offices and 6 production plants distributed throughout the world. The architecture was created by integrating three different enterprise-grade security technologies, selected to minimize residual risk and ensure resilience, continuity and control. The project included a centralized network management model, the event monitoring, communications protection and specific measures to mitigate data exfiltration attempts. The result is a more secure, scalable, and sustainable global network, with reduced costs and greater visibility across the entire infrastructure.
The Challenge
Hub and spoke network latencies slowed down applications and access between globally distributed locations.
Different policies for users and countries made consistent, secure, and truly centralized management complex.
Offices with different requirements and habits hindered common standards and uniform controls across all locations
Shadow IT reduced visibility and control, increasing risks, inefficiencies and attack surfaces.
There was no management plan with formalized and shared roles, procedures, responsibilities and operational criteria
